Test Shots

My test shots with Leica M8 mounted with 35MM Summarit Lens. I have been admiring Leica since joining my college’s photography club in the early 90s. I believe that this particular brand was quite popular for many great photographers in the mid-20th century. To me, I value the simplicity of its operation and the best thing about this rangefinder camera is you decide what to focus on, not the camera.

  1. uh,i thought that we can choose what to focus using other dlsr as well, by using focus point. :)

  2. but unlike RF camera, a viewfinder in SLR shows a scene through the “eye” of the lens. I’m sure you’re familiar with TTL mechanism in dslr system where the scene is viewed, focused and metered directly through the lens. Therefore, by pressing the shutter halfway, the camera already tells you several focus points. I’m also a slr / dslr user and what I meant with focusing is the manual side of it… :)

  3. please do upload some more pictures of this fantastic camera! begining to love the colors of this leica camera!!!!

  4. Sorting out my files at the moment bro, will upload more once everything in order. At the moment, still here and there, and I’m terrible with organising..but it’s getting there…
